Be careful

Be careful what you nickname your in-utero progeny. Cause sometimes it sticks.

baby's real name is.....

William

But we're still calling him Cletus.

Like we swore we wouldn't do.

William is a lovely name! And he looks like a William.

:-)

Just don't shorten it to Willie.

And, he seems perfectly comfortable in orange. Of course, he probably can't recognize colors yet, so there's still hope for black and gold.

Yay for William (aka Cletus). Cletus is a perfectly respectable nickname, although someday you'll have to explain it to him.

I'm glad he finally arrived and it seems like you both are doing ok after the whole ordeal (although he looks a tad grumpy and sleepy).

What a little sweetheart.

I like the picture better in color although it is more powerful in black and white. I guess orange just makes anything better. VolMom

The name Cletus seems due to break out as the next hot baby name. You could start the trend. Somehow I knew that his name would be William. How is that? I think you must have dropped some hints.

Whatever his name, he sure is adorable.

I'm delighted for you all!
I've been checking in constantly and the pics are beautiful!
I know what you mean about the nickname. My niece has nicknamed her little boy-baby Bubba! (No really!)

I love the name William, as there are men very dear to me with that name. But it's a very "grown up" name, so maybe that's part of the reason Cletus has stuck. :)

When will we get to read your birth story?

William is a great name.

Bill, Willie, or Will?

But then again, William, unabbreviated, is a very "English" name.

Cletus is quite cute. I'll have to forgive the orange.

Cletus is a good nickname, I still like Little O (Little Orange) tho. Hee.

So cute! And Cletus is wayy better than Bruiser! Watch out, though. We started calling my 3-year-old a nickname "just while she was a baby"- and it stuck!

CONGRATS AGAIN!

Congratulations....he's precious! My daughter and son-in-law named their last one in the womb "Cletus" and he turned out to be an "Ava" instead :)
Best wishes!

What a precious baby.

I'm sorry I was so bitter sounding the other day. Senior year will do that to you...but yesterday was an absolutely perfect day of motherhood for me, so I want to tell you to gather that baby close and enjoy the heck out of him while you can. He'll be leaving for UT before you know it.

And call him whatever feels right. Cletus William...C.W.
