I'm in favour of most of these 'libertarian' things, and America would be much better off with a much weaker Federal government (the UK would also benefit from federalism, which won't happen unless it's an excuse to break up England); but like my mother says, all extremes are pathological - holding liberty as the sole absolute end, with no checks for other values, is a sure way to destroy liberty.
