Failure of supervision

Failure of supervision, originally uploaded by London looks.

From the other room I hear my husband say "Buddy's father wasn't watching him as well as he should have."

He is the father.

So, with all that first person/third person displacement of guilt I was a little concerned.

The damage appears to be purely cosmetic.

I love that look. We get that a lot these days, usually accompanied by a cheeky 'uh oh".

At least the 'toos are blue in great Scot tradition. He just wanted to be like Mommy? I think he looks creative, but as a grandmother I think whatever he does is terrific. VM

This reminds me of our second trip to London in 2007, when I accidentally passed out on the sofa due to jetlag and pregnancy fatigue right after we got to the flat. Half an hour later my four-year-old roused me with 'Mommy, look what I did' while my eldest son echoed 'Look what Alec did! I told him not to do it but he did it anyway!' and I groggily looked up to see Master 4 wielding a massive pair of scissors and with half his hair GONE (but luckily without a scratch). He looked pleased as Punch. Crikey! Shock horror. The kid didn't leave the flat without a hat on for the next six weeks. And I hid the scissors thereafter!

Those are some horrible varicose veins. He may want to consider wearing support hose or something. HA! great picture.
