I don't have to do a lot of grading in my job - but I spent most of the last week marking tenders and I'll spend a good portion of next week marking competition entries. I can't say I really enjoy this kind of thing. It sorta makes me feel for the Vol-in-Law, who as a university lecturer has to grade papers all the time.
But then again, I don't get the zingers he does. From an essay he was marking this morning:
"It may seem like a movie, but Colonel ______ uses three different factory locations to mix the secret recipe of 11 herbs and species."
Yes, you want to keep the proportion of chicken to the other 10 species very secret indeed.
