I got to be honest, British Mother's Day just doesn't feel like a big deal to me. My day care provider gave me some chocolate and I almost gave them back since it's British Mother's Day and I'm not British. Weird, I know. I did keep the choc in the end.
Also - I wanted a bouquet of white ranunculus and orange freesias, but I knew that was beyond the ViL. He did go with me to various flower stalls - until I finally settled on the blue anemones and white hyacinths. I was happy to buy them myself (and we have a joint account anyway), 'cause I wanted something that I could photograph.
I'm seriously getting the shaft as I'm apparently supposed to act as Zach's proxy and by a Mother's Day gift not only for British Mother's Day but also Australian Mother's Day (in May) when we get down there. I keep trying to explain to Sinead that Zach has no money and thus can't afford to be buying her flowers and chocolates but that line of reasoning just isn't getting me very far.

You bought them yourself? Is that a loaded sentence? ;)
Well, lovely flowers and photo. Happy British Mother's Day!
You're a wonderful photographer!
Those are beautiful. Look at the fibers/hairs on the leaves.
You bought them for yourself????
