You might be a redneck 2.0 if...

...this is on the front page of your old high school's website:

The Frog Giggin' tournament will be held Saturday, August 26.

Back in my day, there was no website and no frog giggin', but we did have a deer-hunting tournament and a Rook tournament. I was ejected from the Rook tournament for unsportsmanlike conduct. That's a feat. I was playing against this guy.

I'm amazed:
1. LCHS has a website?
2. Frog giggin' is still around?

I wonder, though, if giggin' is part of the "sports fest" thing like Rook was?

BTW, I would like to remind your readers that I was not the one who goaded you into being ejected from the tournament AND we later lost to a much less talented pair. I wouldn't have minded so much if we'd lost to you and J, but to lose to those two ... I'm still upset.

Well, sports tourney or no - you can bet that Mickey Dunn is somehow behind it.

I read further and am wondering what "Cowbell Cat-Chow Tailgate" is. Any ideas?

Today is the famous Cowbell Game - a rivalry between us and Giles County. All is played out on that field of honor, to win the ...well, a cowbell.

Our mascot is the Wildcat. So I guess we're having a tailgating party before making kitty chow out of Giles Co.

We didn't have that when I was there...so that's my best guess. I would guess that Mickey Dunn (principal) is behind that, too.
