Me: The Vols won, but you know I don't really care.
Vol-in-Law: You'd care if they lost.
Me: Yeah, too right. Against Memphis?!
ViL: You know that numb feeling you have right now?
Me: Yeah.
ViL: That's the best you can hope for this season.

I'm nervous about Vandy.
Don't be. We've managed to lose in more and more unique ways. The first outrageous loss this year was to MTSU. Then, last week Kentucky, the co-doormat of the SEC beat us like a drum...regardless of the final score.
Start practicing Rocky Top. You'll be singing it quite often come Saturday.
Despite what the Vandy fan above says (see how they use their fancy Vandy book learnin' to try to lull us into a false sense of complacency) I too am nervous.
Can't hold a candle to ViL's prose.
